Still-Life Paintings
My goal when painting a still life is to represent the beauty found in our lives, and to celebrate it by presenting a window into a world that is recognizably our own, yet uncommonly beguiling and evocative.
I am inspired by common objects that, when observed in a new way, open a new world of appreciation, causing me to pause and contemplate what is being observed. These are the moments of life when I really feel alive, and where the zest for living is revealed and stored for future recollections. Encountering these moments, and discovering ways to capture and share them with others, is why I paint.
Thank you for taking a moment to visit.
