This week I am not hosting an auction.

This week has been a week of creative self-care. I have been painting gouache color wheels and color mixture charts.

Working with gouache is still new to me, and my analytical side wanted to get a deeper understanding of this medium. I have several paintings in mind, but before I feel comfortable to dive into this medium more, I will do some specific color mixing exercises to grow my understanding of it

However, I thought it would be interesting to share what I was doing this time last year…

It turns out February is a time when I am trying out new things or diving deeper into a specific subject. Last year this time, I was exploring ink wash and human anatomy.
