Make Art Everyday 2019 :: August Highlights

August began with a very productive 1st week in the studio. I continued creating paintings for my recent collection of floral paintings, “From Garden to Vase”

Then the last three weeks were filled with recuperating from surgery. It went better than I expected. I am very grateful for that.

Day 215, August 3, 2019: Finished this lovely painting of Trumpet Vines in a Ginger Jar, (Available)

Day 217, August 5, 2019: Watercolor sketch of Kaiya in pool. I love these images of summer…. I think they might end up as an oil painting one day…

Day 218, August 6, 2019: Another watercolor sketch of Naomi in the pool. This imagery of summer never loses its appeal.

Day 231, August 19, 2019: White Cosmos on Blue Background (SOLD). This was my first successful piece after the surgery.

Day 233, August 21, 2019: Watercolor sketch of Rose of Sharon.

Day 241, August 27, 2019: Began this painting of Indian Blanket Flowers. Love the bright flowers in front of the deep blue background. (Available)

August was more productive than I realized! So happy to have made some art even with life getting in the way.
