Rijksmuseum to stage the largest Vermeer Exhibition Ever and I want you to join in on the fun!

My favorite way to travel is to select a country and to dive deep into the art, history, and culture of what makes this place so interesting. Immersing myself in visiting the museums and important cultural sites and gardens.

It has been my dream for several years to travel with like-minded souls and to organize an art trip designed to delight the senses to gather ideas and inspiration that will last for years to come after the trip is over.

When I learned that the Rijksmuseum was going to host the largest Vermeer exhibition ever, I knew I had to turn my dream into a reality.

I know this exhibition is going to be a powerful experience of art lovers and artists alike.

I remember in 2018 when the National Gallery of Art here in DC held a special exhibit of Dutch golden age art. That exhibit had 17 Vermeer paintings, almost half of the known paintings in the world.

I visited the exhibit five times (once with Naomi), the last two visits just to go back and look at the Vermeer paintings. From that experience I felt as if my understanding and appreciation of his work grew tenfold. I know my ability to think about the importance of abstracting and simplifying form gained a new level of comprehension after visiting that exhibit.

Vermeer’s work is detailed and evocative of deep emotional expression, and he accomplished this with simple shapes of color and value while still creating visual space on the picture plane. Things I had never truly understood until seeing these 17 Vermeer paintings in one exhibit.

The Rijksmuseum exhibit will have even more of his work in one place. I am eagerly anticipating my mind to be blown, and I want to share that same fascination with you.

So I reached out to a specialty art tour company, International Seminar Design, Inc. To see if they could develop an itinerary that would incorporate the Vermeer exhibition with other museum and cultural sites in the Netherlands to create a truly unique and luxurious trip.

And Sinead did more than that, she created an itinerary that includes all the highlights of the Netherlands while also incorporating time to relax and explore or sketch and shop.

Check out this dream tour!  I would absolutely love for you to join us!
