This is one of four paintings delivered to be part of the Small Works show at the Principle Gallery, and it has already gone on to a new owner :)
Every year I plant nasturtiums for the duel purpose of enjoying them in the garden and to paint them. They are a pleasure to paint, however they are also a real challenge because they constantly move and change their position when in the studio. So when painting them, I work in areas knowing that in an hour they will be in a totally different location.
